What Is Snake Detour?
Snake Detour uses a botanical granule containing cinnamon oil, clove oil, and cedarwood oil. The treatment is intended to discourage snakes from using designated areas around structures and along approved property-line sections.
Your service includes more than an application. We also review reported activity, inspect the agreed treatment areas, and identify conditions that need attention.
How It Works
There is more than just an irritant.
A maintained yard can become a regular travel corridor or harborage area for snakes. When conditions around a structure encourage repeated use — debris, rodent activity, dense ground cover — encounters become more likely. Snake Detour works through a botanical sensory deterrent. The treatment leaves designated areas with an unpleasant scent and irritant that discourages snakes from lingering or crossing through treated zones. Snake Detour does not prevent snakes from entering your property. It gives them a reason not to stay.
Inspection and Activity Review
Your technician reviews your concerns and inspects accessible areas included in your service. At the first treatment, we establish the approved treatment boundaries. At later visits, we review activity and changes since the previous service.
Targeted Botanical Application
When weather and site conditions are suitable, we apply Snake Detour within the approved treatment areas. This is a targeted application — not an automatic treatment of your entire lawn or property.
Weather Matters
Snake Detour requires suitable dry conditions. We aim for a favorable five-to-seven-day dry-weather window after application. Tell us about your irrigation schedule before your appointment.
Findings and Recommendations
We document the work completed and explain relevant findings, treatment precautions, and recommended property corrections. Removing debris and correcting access points are separate work unless included in your proposal.

9-Month Program
Enroll in the Snake Detour program and receive monthly treatments from March through October — 8 scheduled services per season. Includes activity review, inspection of approved treatment areas, targeted botanical application when conditions permit, and service documentation with recommendations.
Program enrollment saves you $100 per treatment vs. the one-time rate. Service and billing pause November through February.
One-Time Treatment
A single Snake Detour application with no program commitment. Includes the same inspection, targeted botanical application, and service documentation as a program visit.
No recurring obligation. Enroll in the 9-Month Program anytime to save $100 per treatment going forward.
Weather Re-Application
Available to program members only. If a weather event affects previously treated areas between routine services, you may request an additional application at this rate. Phone authorization required — our office must attach confirmation to the work order before scheduling.
